US - Software Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

Minimal responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Successful delivery of software systems integrated with complex automated material handling systems
• Maintain an active role in client relationship and sales opportunities
• Interpret and communicate complex technical and commercial issues with customers
• Lead onsite installation, commissioning, training and accept testing processes
• Develop software functional specifications
• Work with system integration team to define the interface points between subsystems

SKILL SET REQUIREMENTS

5+ years knowledge, understanding and experience in the following:

• Project Management skills - scope, budget, risk, change and schedule
• Excellent Communication skills (oral and written)
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Project and MS Visio
• Team building and leadership skills
• Supervisory skills for project team (task assignment, performance/resource management, motivation)
• Problem Solving, Resolution and Mitigation skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Travel to customer sites for meetings, functional specification process, system commissioning, user training and system acceptance as assignments require it

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of software project management/leadership experience
• Microsoft .NET Platform (C#, Oracle/SQL Server, WCF, WPF, Entity Framework)
• Object Oriented Concepts
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server - Version Control
• Windows Server Environments with VM Ware
• Hardware requirements definition and order (Servers, peripherals, PCs, scanners, printers, etc.)
• Domain know-how in logistics, material flow systems, warehouse management systems or control systems
