Focus on Manufacturing Systems Engineering
Throughout the 4-year apprenticeship you will learn the trade of construction engineering with the main focus on manufacturing systems engineering. In the future, after passing the examination, you will work in the team on implementation.
The first two years of the apprenticeship you will work half time in manufacturing and half time on the CAD-Station. This will allow you to learn both sides: construction and implementation. During the 3rd and 4th year of education you will work primarily in the CAD Station. Construction engineers work mainly with information technology. CAD, meshes, Internet, Intranet and databases are part of the daily work. A construction engineer supports project management and quality management.
Principal Activities and Duties
- Application of information technologies like CAD, meshes, internet, intranet, databases
- Project oriented work on the project base of knowledge in project and quality management
- Draw up model takings and outlines
- Drawings which conform to standards of components and assemblies, devices of manufacturing systems engineering and specific calculations
- Work with construction systems and technology of manufacturing systems engineering and solve problems
- Construction and manufacturing of machinery
- Choice of requested material
- Control of the manufacturing process and scheduling
- Commissioning and improvement of the constructed tools
- Creation of special interest documentations
- Contact for key customers and contractors
