TGW Among Top 20 System Suppliers04/09/2008

The 11th annual ranking of worldwide materials handling system suppliers which is compiled by the trade magazine Modern Materials Handling revealed that 2007 has been a record-braking year for the industry.

To qualify for the the Top 20 list a company has to be a supplier of materials handling systems, manufacturing at least two handling system components such as transportation devices, storage and staging equipment or sortation systems. In order to be considered a worldwide supplier it has to have a presence in North America and be able to report its revenue to Modern’s editors.

The majority of the 20 top players of which 14 are based in Europe, two in Japan and four in the United States could report considerable revenue gains in the fiscal year 2007. Like last year TGW Logistics Group holds steady at No. 12, seeing sales figures increase by more than 30 %. This revenue increase is primarily due to the extensive growth of the TGW Group in the US and Europe.
