Paperless and efficient warehousing
Storage and picking documents will no longer be necessary thanks to warehousing controlled via radio terminals. The time-consuming paper handling - the right document for the right goods at the right time - becomes redundant. The terminal displays the optimum storing location for each storage and picking item. Efficient warehousing and error-free picking can be guaranteed by scanning the storage location barcode and article number. Stock transfers can be activated via the terminal at any time in order to ensure a smooth replenishment process.
No matter whether shelf racking systems or pallet warehouses that are operated by forklift trucks are concerned: the strategies defined in the RF data communication system provide for short routes and an optimum utilisation of the forklifts and thus guarantee efficient warehousing.
Optimised and fast internal material flow
With goods transport between storage, production and dispatch areas CI_FLS optimises transport orders with the objective of minimising cycle times and employing the resources efficiently. All transport orders are displayed digitally on the forklift terminal and the driver is guided by the system optimising the transport routes. In addition, the employee is automatically informed about any backorders or express orders. The employees in the control centre can immediately react to stock and order changes.
The transport strategies defined in FLS ensure rapid material flows and thus short delivery times.
Up to date and transparent due to online interface
CI_FLS has an online connection to CI_LOG Warehouse Management System (WMS). Each storage movement or transport order is transmitted by CI_FLS via radio data transmission to the mobile terminals. The execution is then registered online in the CI_LOG WMS on the display. Thus current merchandise planning and a permanent overview of all goods movements are guaranteed.
All goods movements are logged and saved. A flexible information tool allows for a very fast query of all stock and movement data.
