PalDock - Cross docking for full unit loads

PALDOCK IS PERFECTLY SUITED FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE DISTRIBUTION CENTER

TGW’s PalDock solution is a fully automated cross docking system for full unit loads. It is perfectly suited for high performance distribution centers handling high quantities of goods that can not be kept in stock, e.g. dairy products, fruits and vegetables.

    YOUR REQUIREMENTS

PalDock is the perfect solution for you if you need a logistics solution to meet the following requirements:

    • Extremely fast handling of goods (cross docking)
    • No or very small stock
    • Limited number of different products

    • Handling and picking of full-size and half-size pallets
    • Suitable for different temperatures, including freezer applications
    • Elimination of picking and packing errors
    • Smallest available footprint

    KEY BENEFITS OF PALDOCK

    • Modular and redundant system design for different application sizes and highest availability
    • Highly automated picking process guarantees maximum accuracy
    • Higher buffer capacity on a smaller footprint than sorter solutions or conventional cross docking solutions
    • Handles full-size and half-size pallets in one system
    • Applicable in deep-freeze areas
    • Proven and tested technologies guarantee maximum system availability
    • Highest available energy efficiency

    HOW PALDOCK WORKS

    • Goods-in

At the goods-in area the delivered, fully loaded, single-SKU pallets are checked and the goods identified. Then the full-size or half-size pallets are placed on the automated conveyor system and delivered to the sorting buffer.

    • Sorting buffer

Several highly dynamic unit load stacker cranes buffer full-size or half-size pallets in relatively small rack systems. As soon as all goods for an order are available in the rack, the system retrieves the required pallets and delivers them to the subsequent conveyor system.

    • Dispatch

Each picked order of full-size and half-size pallets coming from the sorting buffer is placed on an accumulation conveyor line to transport the order to shipping.
