OBJECTIVE

The major objective of the warehouse reorganisation was to significantly reduce overtime work caused by extreme peak performances and high picking performance. In addition, our customer aimed for an optimum utilisation of the premises and for error reduction.

SOLUTION

The new storage system com store perfectly met these requirements. Time-consuming routes could be reduced. 25 % more time led to a cut in overtime and four employees that are now available for other activities. High storage density, less space for paths and utilisation of the storage height allow for storing more containers in the same space. Automatic exchange of storage and retrieval information due to the integration of the ERP system into the existing infrastructure. Errors are ruled out.

ADVANTAGES

  • optimum volume utilisation
  • less overtime work
  • 25% more time
