IT Project Realisation/Sales Solutions Lead

An exciting new role has arisen for a IT Project Realisation/Sales Solutions Lead  to join our Warehouse Control Systems division (WCS) to support the sales activity for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) & Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) offerings to TGW’s clientele.

Our WCS Division is responsible for the implementation and support of the Warehouse Control System for TGW’s clients. Our teams work across the full project life-cycle which covers pre-sales, solutions design, technical development, testing, implementation, documentation and post go-live support (including enhancements and upgrades).
 
As the IT Project Realisation/Sales Solutions Lead , you will be responsible for translating complex strategies and/or systems to a non-technical audience. You will  act as the link between sales and realisation (IT) following the contract being signed by the client. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to support the development of internal processes as the business grows and provide feedback on where improvements can be made.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assessing the risk (commercial and time) of any functional gaps between proposed design and current WMS/WCS offerings within the TGW Group.
  • Provide detailed proposals including costs after full analysis of sales solutions designs and risk assessment of the software delivery.
  • Support the sales proposal with any required documentation (slides, time plans, budget costs and breakdown etc.)
  • Advise on project timeline – experience of software rollouts with automation and the sequence of tasks is important.
  • Be the key handover resource when a project hands over to realisation – be there to explain to the software technical architect and the IT PM all the high level flows that will have been included in the sales proposal.
  • Ensure that TGW designed Material Handling Equipment (MHE) solutions for prospective customers align with the current software capabilities of the existing WMS & WCS solutions, advising / steering the design team where necessary.
  • Build and maintain client relationships from the sales phase through to project realisation.
  • Advise and support IT Project managers for WMS/WCS throughout the application delivery.
  • Feedback on overall market “wants and needs” for steering of the internal WMS/WCS software development roadmap.
  • Maintaining strong links with the project teams during realisation, preventing expensive scope creep and / or mediating between client and TGW team if required to resolve disputes amicably.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Essential
  • Proven Project Management skills in IT/software delivery
  • Strong presentation and reporting experience
  • Proven understanding of IT & systems design
  • Highly self-motivated team player, who is able to interact with large groups of stakeholders both externally and internally
  • Excellent communicator with strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to write Functional Design Specification (FDS) documentation with customers and agree sign off
Desirable
  • Previous experience implementing Warehouse Management Systems or Warehouse Control Systems (such as JDA, Red Prairie, Manhattan, SAP, PKMS, Lawson, Indigo, Oracle, etc.)
  • Automated logistics / warehouse sector experience
