Mobile Engineer - Automated Logistics

We are currently looking for an experienced multi-skilled Engineer to join our Mobile Team which sits within the Lifetime Services (LTS) division. The LTS division deals with all aspect our clients’ newly established or existing automated warehouse solutions across the UK and Northern Europe.
As a Mobile Engineer, you’ll travel across Northern Europe providing support to a range of customer sites, gaining exposure to a breadth of different customers within Retail, Automotive, FMCG and E-Commerce sectors. Alongside the support activities (repairs, breakdowns, PPM, etc.), you will also have the opportunity to get involved with upgrades and enhancements to these sites and help with identifying future improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of support to customer sites within the TGW Northern Europe portfolio. This will include:
    • Planned preventative maintenance
    • Equipment repair and breakdowns
    • Operational support
    • Site management & training
  • Deliver installation, commissioning and testing of upgrades and enhancements and provide support to the projects team during new site installations.
  • Pro-active review of customer solutions, considering the ways in which TGW can add more value and present findings/feedback to both the customer and TGW.
  • Achieve standards of performance relating to customer satisfaction, technical efficiency and company image.
  • Work in a safe manner and follow all Health & Safety requirements and comply with TGW’s quality assurance procedures and documentation.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in an operational or multi-skilled engineering role within an automated environment
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or an electrical qualification such as 17th edition
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus
  • Ability to work in a time critical environment
  • Ability to travel throughout UK and Europe
  • Experience of working with Warehouse Management Systems 
  • Previous experience working in a Field or Mobile Engineer role
