Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
A fantastic, autonomous role working within an automated warehouse for one of our leading clients and a chance to gain exposure to other local sites to broaden your technical knowledge then look no further…
We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join an existing customer site based in Rotherham. The client is a leading manufacturer of advanced plumbing, heating and engineering products and the site has been live since 2012 utilising TGW’s automated solution to support its distribution across the UK. TGW's equipment includes tote conveyors, 3x tote cranes and single deep racking storage.
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will support the client’s automated equipment, covering electrical, mechanical and some basic software fault-finding and resolution. You will support continuous improvement activities on the site to ensure that the automated equipment runs at maximum efficiency with minimal downtime. Also, you will coordinate all planned preventative maintenance activities and lead breakdowns or escalations, escalating to specialists within TGW or 3rd parties when needed.
As you’ll be the only TGW Engineer on site, you will receive a structured training programme which will involve online, face-to-face and technical training delivered by our specialist trainers. You will also have the support from TGW’s Mobile Engineering Team and Hotline Team, who provide specialist Controls & WCS support.
In addition, you will also be given the opportunity to work on other sites as overtime, which will give you more experience on support and servicing other TGW clients and equipment. Longer-term, this will set you in great stead to progress your career into our mobile engineering team or into a more senior position at another TGW client site.
The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
