We’re seeking a Site Engineering Manager to manage a team of 5 TGW Engineers on a new (go-live was in 2018) automated materials handling site for our client, a global publishing organisation.
12 months in and the site has had a lot of the initial teething issues sorted, however, there is still a lot to be done. Examples of your key deliverables will include:
- Getting the site up to 100% distribution levels and absorb the rest of the levels from an older site – at present, the levels are just over 50%.
- Continue to develop and train the team – we’ve recently added two Junior/Assistant Engineers to the team in the past 6 months, so you’ll play a key part in their development and training.
- Develop the relationship with the client, managing expectations and ensuring KPI’s are being met, such as equipment availability and efficiency levels.

You’ll be an experienced Team Leader or Site Manager who has led teams of a similar size and you’ll be from an engineering background yourself, ideally holding an ONC/HNC or full BTEC in an engineering discipline.
In addition, you will have experience working with automated materials handling equipment (conveyors, shuttles, cranes, robotics, etc.) and be experienced with using and/or implementing relevant software tools, such as SCADA, CMMS and Warehouse Controls Systems.

You'll receive a basic salary of £50,000-£55,000p.a. plus a car allowance.
