The third-party equipment team is responsible for the long-term selection and support of global suppliers for third-party components/third-party equipment as well as selected material groups such as special machines and control systems. Core tasks include conducting contract negotiations independently, ensuring security of supply and quality as well as cooperating closely with the project teams.
Thanks to strategic thinking and technical expertise, the material group strategy is developed sustainably.
Responsibility for supplier management of the global supplier base in close collaboration with the purchasing departments all around the world
Continuous supplier development and risk assessment in terms of quality, costs and adherence to delivery dates together with the quality and product management departments
Independent preparation and conducting of price and contract negotiations
Independent design and expansion of the material group strategy
Analysis of key figures and collaboration with the entire global purchasing team in order to improve processes and optimise ordering processes
Close collaboration with TGW's sales and project management teams
Profound commercial and technical understanding
Ideally, several years of job experience in strategic purchasing
Proactive and self-confident appearance paired with social skills and a structured way of working
Ability to work in a team paired with entrepreneurial thinking
Analytical skills and a passion for working with data
Good command of English
Willingness to travel in 10-20% of working time
