Strategic Purchasing Agent for Construction Projects (m/f/d)

As Strategic Purchasing Agent working in the Electrical Engineering/Electronics team, you will be responsible for the long-term selection and support of our suppliers of electrical and electronic equipment as well as for selected material groups (drive technology, sensors etc.) You will conduct contract negotiations independently, ensure the security of supply and quality and will be responsible for a sustainable material group strategy by using your strategic vision and technical experience.


  • Strategic Purchasing with focus on property or rental property, from shell to equipped building (HVAC)

  • Responsibility for supplier management, e.g. supplier selection, risk assessment etc. for Facility Management

  • Continuous development of new and existing suppliers with respect to quality, adherence to delivery dates and costs

  • Strategic (and, in part, operational) support for investments in indirectly related material groups for construction projects

  • Negotiation of prices and terms with suppliers on your own responsibility as well as drafting of contracts

  • Collaboration in designing and expanding the material group strategy

  • Analysing key figures and collaborating with the entire Purchasing team in order to improve processes


  • Completed technical or commercial education (apprenticeship, Higher Technical College, University of Applied Sciences or University)

  • Several years of relevant job experience, preferably in Facility Management or Civil Engineering

  • Self-confident appearance and excellence in closing deals

  • Experience with purchasing processes in ERP systems (e.g. Navision, SAP)

  • Distinct social skills and structured way of working

  • Good command of written and spoken English

  • Willingness to travel abroad (up to 20% of working time)

The minimum annual gross pay for this position is 45,846 Euros. A possible overpayment depends on your individual job experience and qualification.
