As an Apprentice, you will spend the first 42 weeks working full time in a training environment allowing you to gain the foundational skills required. In year 2 you will spend 1 week every 2 months in the classroom and the rest of your time working on our client site in Peterborough alongside fully qualified engineers. By the end of your apprenticeship, you will have the skills needed to support and assist in the provision of:
The boring bit is we need applications from candidates who have or are predicted to gain 5 x GCSEs (or equivalent). Grades must be A*-C / 9-5 for Maths and A*-C / 9-4 for English, Science and two other subjects.
The most important thing is that you enjoy engineering. That could be building Lego, taking engines apart or you just have a curiosity of how things work and what makes them tick.
Imagine being able to spend the first year of your Apprenticeship living in the Student Halls over in Warwickshire. You will be spending your days learning whilst earning a good salary, then at night you will be staying in the University halls, all paid for by us!
TGW will basically pay you to go to college and get an education! University doesn't sound so great anymore, does it?
Your salary in the first year will be £14,000 which rises up to £22,000 in year 4 but alongside this, you will also gain invaluable qualifications in an industry that is crying out for talent!
