Continuous Improvement Engineer

The On-site Improvement Specialist provides professional project management support to Resident LTS (Life Time Services) sites during the on-site implementation of contracts. You will ensure the delivery of the project from Sales phase to REA to LTS phase is successful and standardized across sites. You will also drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout LTS by working closely with the Site Managers/Teams on the roll out of improvements from within the business that will increase the service levels offered to the client.

The On-site Improvement Specialist will apply lean methodologies to aid improvements - utilizing 5S, process mapping and problem solving using RCA tooling, creating smarter maintenance plans and driving FMECA studies.


  • Support the go-live of new resident LTS contracts inclusive of recruitment, training, workshop setup, maintenance strategy and be the go to person for REA for all project related issues that may impact LTS.
  • Liaise with the KAM responsible for any new site and support and advise accordingly.
  • Work closely with the TGW Realisation Project Manager / Supervisors and all sub-contractors to ensure the installation is maintainable and accessible for the LTS end user and to be proactive in ensuring that the work being carried out for the LTS contract is to the correct TGW standard.
  • Ensure the entire project has been snagged, documented and ownership agreed before SG06 has been completed. Ensuring there is a successful transition from the LTS project to the LTS On-site team.
  • Work with the site services specialist and ensure a smart delivery of the CMMS platform into new and legacy sites and work across all sites to make CMMS the tool of choice for the end user
  • To complete post implementation CI reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future sites/departments
  • Participate in design risk assessment reviews with sales to support right first time installation.
  • To support the delivery of better onsite service offerings through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within the LTS processes and identification of better ways of working
  • Work with process engineering to support DART platform roll out across all sites.
  • To lead and facilitate LEAN/process improvement based workshops to drive ideas and solutions across LTS.
  • Provide support to change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls
  • Manage a portfolio of projects utilising tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standardised working, problem solving using RCA tooling and roll out to LTS end user.
  • Be the NE hub representative for the group competency centre 1.5OSS and support its strategic objectives
  • Play an active part in the success of initiative 16, supporting the initiative lead and through achieving the agreed milestones


  • Experienced in leading and establishing resident maintenance teams
  • Preferably HNC qualified in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • A background in Material Handling/Automation Industry
  • History of working in project management roles within the service industry
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Budget and financial control experience
  • Ideally accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Able and willing to travel regularly to TGW sites across the UK and Northern Europe
  • Must have an aptitude for managing and motivating all site team members
