Early Life Service Manager

We are now recruiting for an Early Life Services Manager to manage our newly created Early Life Service team.

The Early Life Service Manager will manage and coordinate the Early Life Service team (ELS) to support the customer as the project transitions from the realisation phase through both go live and ramp-up. They will be required to develop a good relationship with both TGW project stakeholders & external customer stakeholders.

The ELS manager & team will join the project at its latter stages and support & guide the customer in the following areas;

  • Create a team structure detailing roles & responsibilities for roles that will be key during the ramp-up & go-live phases of the operation
  • By integrating within the WCS testing team, become a subject matter expert. With this experience and system understanding, guide the customer to get the best out of the solution.
  • WCS release validation
  • Investigation and analysis of data and flows to identify potential areas for improvement during the ramp-up period
  • Engage with key stakeholders to create an operational training plan & oversee the rollout of training
  • Management of open points from turnover/takeover
  • Create SOP’s & key operational documentation
  • Support the customer during the Sea Trial phases (Onsite BIT)
  • Stock migration and Ramp up profiling
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis

Team Management

  • Manage a team of highly motivated individuals that will work in partnership with the customer
  • Accountable for resource planning
  • Ensuring that the team has the relevant skills to deliver to the best of their ability
  • Recruitment of the Team
  • Line management responsibilities
  • Support and guidance of team onsite
  • Strategic planning for department improvements

Process

  • Creation & ownership of processes and procedures for ELS
  • The focal point for closeout of project snags from takeover
  • Support the transition from realization to BIT & go live. Working in partnership with LTS & the customer
  • Ensuring that the customer has the right process & resources in place to manage their new automated site
  • Facilitate lesson learned
  • Support with duties that are described in the Early Life Consultant role

Communications

  • Clear and accurate communication between both internal & external stakeholders
  • Collate information from multiple sources
  • Act as escalation liaison if necessary of issues as and when they arrive

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge and experience of TGW solutions
  • Knowledge of WCS systems, information extraction and analysis
  • Materials handling/automation experience
  • Operational management experience
  • Track record of delivering operational support for technical projects
  • Experience in project commissioning and go live
  • Ability to manage customer expectations & relationship
  • Strong Leadership Qualities
  • Team Management & Coordination
  • Ability to work in a multilingual team
  • Able to work on own initiative & Prioritize tasks

  • Willing to travel internationally on a regular basis
