As an Instructional Design Apprentice, you will learn how to create all types of learning content, to a high standard, using a variety of media. You will have the chance to work with our subject matter experts and others within the Technical Training Team to design or adapt content including audio, video, and eLearning learning platforms. You will use your technological prowess to embrace the latest instructional technologies to remain at the forefront of learning and development.
Work with line managers to identify training needs
Conduct research and collaborate with subject matter experts
Define and document learning objectives
Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methods
Creation of exercises and activities that enhance the learning experience
Create instructional material/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, etc)
Design, build and maintain a variety of instructional materials for traditional instructor-led courses, online programs, web-based learning aids or products, and other programs. Including e-learning modules, curriculum, learning guides, and training manuals
Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessments
Re-design existing courses for online presentation ensuring that they meet learning objectives
Analyse courses to ensure they meet the required standards and provide reports for accreditation reviews
Adapt course material as required for different learning styles or to assist learners with disabilities
Be aware of all emerging instructional technologies and embrace them as required
Advice instructors, in the use of all learning technologies
