IT Project Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the software delivery for our specialist automated materials handling projects.

You will lead the development teams during the project, having the autonomy and accountability throughout the full life-cycle of your projects, from reviewing/coordinating the technical resource and defining project deliverables, to testing and hand-over to support teams after go-live.

In addition, you will be the first point of contact for the client and represent TGW during systems meetings, managing their expectations, and ensure clear reporting is delivered throughout key project milestones.


  • Generate detailed IT delivery plans for the project and review project schedules to determine accuracy.
  • Develop and review test documentation to ensure that all tests are clearly defined.
  • Review issue logging and bug fixing strategies to ensure that accurate reporting and analysis is possible.
  • Review test resource provision, ensuring that we have sufficient capacity / quality and that they are fully briefed about what is expected of them.
  • Ensure that full commissioning plans are in place to achieve system commissioning.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Client and TGW Senior Management, managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are clear and transparent throughout the contract and project.
  • Represent TGW in any Client systems meetings.
  • Continually define ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.


  • Experience of delivering large IT projects & change and preferably within the logistics industry. Ideally, you’ll have experience of WMS/WCS delivery (Warehouse Management Systems/Warehouse Control Systems).
  • A strong track record of leading the delivery of measurable value projects against time and budget constraints.
  • A Prince2 qualification or similar would be advantageous.
  • A flexible and committed approach to success and the ability to apply this in a rapidly changing environment.
