Maintenance Technician - Bileko Car Parts ( BCP)

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our residential maintenance team at the Bileko Car Parts (BCP) site in Strängnäs. Incorporating a dedicated on-site engineering team, remote expert support for PLC controls, a Warehouse Control System and Warehouse Management System and spare parts, the site is monitored and maintained by 3 TGW Maintenance Engineers between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on weekdays. The Maintenance Technician supports our customer on all automation-related topics according to the agreed scope of supply. They provide a broad-based electrical, mechanical, controls, and software technical ability along with a right first-time mentality and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the site’s performance, i.e. fulfilling the contractual SLA.  Based on our customer sites, the Maintenance Technician must represent the TGW image at all times and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.

WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

  • Accountability and ownership to deliver the contracted KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Autonomous preventive and corrective maintenance activities of the automated equipment on site including shuttles, conveyors, picking stations etc.
  • Support the automation to operate at its maximum efficiency ensuring that the customers’ orders are not missed
  • Comply to all current, future health and safety legislation at all times
  • Attend daily/weekly/monthly customer meetings providing any updates on the automation
  • Attend relevant TGW internal meetings when possible
  • Continuously improve the performance of the equipment and how it works
  • Continuously improve the working procedures of the team including the collaboration with the customer staff
  • Actively work with the customer to optimise and improve the automation performance
  • Co-ordinate all planned preventive maintenance activities with the customer
  • Work with a right first time mind-set at all times
  • Be operationally minded with all decisions
  • Assist and support site software commissioning and handover testing of in-house and sub contract controls solutions
  • Provide support, via relevant in-house and external suppliers for electrical and software systems to our clients throughout the life of the installation.
  • Proactively propose improvements of the installed systems’ functionality and layout

What you'll need

  • Electrical or Automation scholarship or similar            
  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship          
  • Ability to think methodically       
  • Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles  
  • Ability to read electrical drawings            
  • Fault finding ability on electrical circuits
  • Working knowledge of fieldbus systems (AS-interface, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet)              
  • Experience of PLCs and I/O systems.       
  • Experience and knowledge of engineering, construction and commissioning processes              
  • Experience of conveyor systems, shuttles desirable          
  • Previous experience of working in an operational engineering role within a similar environment      
  • Experience of working with Warehouse Management Systems is preferable            
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus         
  • Ability to work in a time critical environment
