Sales Project Manager

As a Sales Project Manager, you will play a vital role in the management of Integrated Solution Sales within TGW’s Northern Hub. This role plays a key part in the company’s ongoing strategic growth and realising its financial targets. This is an opportunity to join a successful company and a great working team.


The role of the Sales Project Manager is to develop key client relationships with their respective stakeholders whilst managing a multi-faceted internal Sales & Solutions team for high-capital, integrated logistics projects. Ensuring our client bids focus on tried and tested processes and sales methodology is of paramount importance.


Working within specialist teams to develop industry-leading solutions while maintaining market competitiveness is a key component of the role. In the role, you will also work closely with the Heads of Software and Process Consulting, Application Engineering, Solution Design, and the Head of Sales for Northern Europe. Whilst the role is focused on the UK and Ireland market primarily, it may require working on potential projects across Northern Europe e.g. Nordics and the Benelux regions.


  • supporting lead generation
  • Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, are necessary to secure order intake in line with an agreed plan
  • Working with and managing a Solution Design and Bid Team
  • Preparation and ownership of budget quotations and fixed price offers
  • Preparation and joint delivery of presentations to end users
  • Understanding and adopting the “tried and tested” internal process of preparing and issuing high-capital value bids
  • Understanding and adopting the “tried and tested” sales methodologies
  • Managing your time and the time of others in this complex, high-paced environment
  • Managing Customer Relationship Management database
  • Regular status updates with the Head of Sales
  • Negotiation of high-capital projects and managing the associated contracting process
  • To work in a safe manner and follow all Health & Safety requirements including COSHH requirements as necessary
  • Travel to customer premises, existing sites, and TGW premises across Northern Europe.


If you want to be successful in your application, you should have experience in complex project selling, preferably within the logistics/materials handling sector. 

In addition to being strategic, and proactive, as well as having excellent communication skills, you will enjoy the process of developing and maintaining relationships. 

The ideal candidate should hold a degree in engineering or a similar field, have previous experience managing teams or leading projects, and have a great deal of contract negotiation and sales experience.
