Technical Sales Engineer


The Technical Sales Engineer supports the creation of customised Lifetime support services (LTS) offers and contracts, renewals of existing LTS support contracts and lifecycle management offers (obsolescence, repairs, site improvements). The Technical Sales Engineer will work closely with Central Services team (field service engineering, customer support etc) to drive and upsell the lifetime services product portfolio.

  • Support in preparing Lifetime Services offers in the sales phase of a project
  • Accompanying and supporting Service Specialist at new customers, incl. preparation of service packages, quotations and presentation of those (when required)
  • Prepare, initiate and sale of LTS product portfolio offering (site audits, system health checks, obsolescence, FMECA, etc) at existing and install base customers
  • Supports marketing events for LTS such as webinars, attendance at industry trade shows, etc.
  • Clear overview and daily updates in TGW’s CRM tool
  • Support development of existing systems with feedback from customer sites (e.g. TGW CMMS, On-Site, Augmented Reality, Smart Glasses, etc.)
  • Close cooperation with counterparts in other units, especially TGW BNL and TGW Nordics
  • Collaborative, supportive and integrative working with the other LTS managers, Key Account Managers and Central Services Department.
  • Obtaining feedback from Customers when tenders are unsuccessful in order to improve in future activities.
  • Able to suggest strategies to reduce the risk on sales bids.
  • To be reliable, punctual and keep commitments made by the organisation to our customers.

What you'll need

  • Relevant Engineering qualification and/or experience (Industrial Engineering)
  • Technical knowledge of automation systems and equipment or from an electro mechanical background 
  • Clear and effective communicator 
  • Ability in managing multiple sales bids simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial and a self-starter
  • Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills
  • Networking skills both internally and externally
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Sales negotiation skills
