When working on your bachelor/master thesis, you will be part of our PLC System Architecture team. You will evaluate and test an existing static code analysis tool for our PLC code. The quality of the PLC code shall be sustainably increased by using the static code analysis. Besides a first proof of concept of the existing PLC code, you will also be responsible for evaluating the practicability of this method. You will identify changes required in the code, assess their extent and provide a cost-benefit analysis. As a further step, you will define relevant analysis rules to obtain the maximum quality.
FH/University education in Automation and Controls Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or similar
Excellent Siemens S7 knowledge is a prerequisite, first practical experience in PLC programming is desirable
Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
Analytical and structured method of working, interest in refining systems
