Graduate Integration Engineer

Are you after variety? Working in a small team and making a real impact on multi-million-pound projects? Continuously expanding your knowledge and skills?

Main Responsibilities

This isn’t your typical Graduate scheme. You know, the one where you’re applying to join a cohort of 100+ fellow graduates within a massive organisation and, let’s face it, you may get the structure and training, but won’t have the opportunity to make a real impact in your first year and will likely be pigeon-holed into one area…

If you want the variety and making an impact within a small team from day one, then we have an exciting Graduate Integration Engineer opportunity where you’ll work on multiple automated warehouse implementation projects across Northern Europe.

The team you’ll be joining is our Upgrades and Enhancements Team who work on projects valued at circa. £1m that impact existing automated materials handling sites. The type of projects includes extensions to existing automation or upgrades to the equipment or software.

The team itself currently numbers 10 and is made up of Pre-Sales, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Applications Engineers and Controls Engineers. Given that the scale of the projects is usually much smaller than Greenfield implementations in new warehouses/distribution centres, the team are dealing with multiple projects at any one time.

What does this mean for you? Well, as a Graduate Integration Engineer on the team, you will rotate through all areas of the team on a buddy system, which will give you a full understanding of the project life-cycle end-to-end. This will include spending time with the Applications Engineers during the design and pre-sales phase, the Site Managers during installations, and the Project Engineers/Managers during the implementation phase.

In addition, you’ll be given responsibility for the creation of new test scripts, project plans and material flow diagrams for new projects, as well as carrying out performance testing on larger projects. During this testing phase, you’ll work closely with TGW’s and third-party Controls and IT suppliers to ensure that the solution is meeting our customer requirements.

What support will I get and what opportunities are there at TGW?

  • First Class training and support from our industry leading experts
  • Excellent career development opportunities within a global business – last year, 25% of roles filled were through internal promotions!
  • Opportunity to travel internationally on TGW’s expat programme
