Make an impact from day one, grow your career, and develop your skills within the innovative and disruptive automation industry, delivering large-scale software projects.
You’re sick and tired of being a small cog in a large machine. You have piped up about new processes and technologies, which could greatly enhance the team’s efficiency and consistency, but your words fall upon deaf ears. Whilst your office might have all of the great facilities and table-tennis tables to offer, you long for the opportunity to travel and mix-up your work environment.
Are you nodding your head to one, two or maybe all of the above points?
In which case, we’re currently looking for Software Developers to join our team in Market Harborough. The reason for this? Our growing project pipeline and the increasing focus on innovation within the automated materials handling sector.
You’ll work in a Development Team of 10 to deploy TGW’s own Warehouse Control System, TGW Commander, which orchestrates activity flow within our client’s new automated distribution centres. You will work through the full project life-cycle including design, development, modifications, implementation and post-go-live support.
The Warehouse Control System’s data layer is built upon Oracle with PL-SQL, hosted on Linux servers. All other components make extensive use of the Microsoft Technology stack, including:
- C# using LINQ, EF and ASYNC
- Windows Workflow Foundation
- WPF – Prism with Unity
The team are continuously looking at implementing new processes and practices to improve the quality of work delivered. Examples of this include following SOLID principles for object-orientated programming, and the team currently moving toward a test-driven development environment.
As we’re innovators in our field, we want you to bring your own views and opinions on the strategies and technologies required to deliver innovative development projects for internal and external clients.
- An experienced Developer who is comfortable with the Microsoft Technology Stack (C#, .NET, SQL)
- A client facing, personable, and confident self-starter who’s deeply project focused and excited by the prospect of creating great quality work.
- Happy to travel regularly throughout the UK and Europe – as the software is deployed on-site, you will be required to these sites throughout the project.
It would also be great if you had previous experience working with Oracle/SQL development and an understanding/experience of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) within an Agile environment.
What are you waiting for? Click the ‘apply now’ button and let’s start the conversation.
As a Software Developer, you’ll receive a salary of £30,000-£40,000p.a. plus our comprehensive benefits package which includes 25 days annual holiday entitlement with the option to buy a further 5 days of flexible holiday, a contributory pension scheme, access to our free gym and wellness programme, cycle to work scheme, access to discounts via our affinity scheme and many more!
