Make an impact from day one, grow your career, and develop your skills within the booming automation industry, working on Greenfield, large-scale software projects.
You’re sick and tired of being a small cog in a large machine. You have piped up about new processes and technologies to enhance your team’s efficiency and consistency, but your words fall upon deaf ears. Whilst your office might have all of the great shiny coffee machines and table-tennis tables, you long for the opportunity to travel and mix-up your work environment.
Are you nodding your head to one, two or maybe all of the above points?
In which case, TGW is currently looking for Software Developers to join our team in Market Harborough. The reason for this? Our growing project pipeline and the increasing focus on innovation within the automated materials handling sector.
You’ll work in a Development Team of 10 to deploy TGW’s own Warehouse Control System, TGW Commander, which oversees the activity flow within our client’s new automated distribution centres. You will work through the full project life-cycle including design, development, modifications, implementation and post-go-live support.
The team are continuously looking at implementing new processes and practices to improve the quality of work delivered. Examples of this include following SOLID principles for object-orientated programming, and the team currently moving toward a test-driven development environment.
As we’re innovators in our field, we want you to bring your own views and opinions on the strategies and technologies required to deliver innovative development projects for internal and external clients.
- Excellent C# development experience and WPF
- Service-orientated architecture (SOA) experience
- Experience of SQL Development (stored procedures, querying, etc.)
- Ability to travel throughout the UK and Europe - our Developers will travel to deliver the implementations on client sites. You’ll spend 3 months of the year travelling up to 50% - typically for a week or two at a time.
What are you waiting for? Click the ‘apply now’ button and let’s start the conversation.
As a Software Developer, you’ll receive a competitive salary plus our comprehensive benefits package which includes 25 days annual holiday entitlement with the option to buy a further 5 days of flexible holiday, a contributory pension scheme, access to our free gym and wellness programme, cycle to work scheme, access to discounts via our affinity scheme and many more!
