Sustainability Engineer (M/F/D)*
The Sustainability Engineer makes a valuable contribution to the company's success by enabling sustainable decision-making, optimising the use of resources and aligning company practices with environmental and regulatory objectives. Identifying areas where the company can reduce its environmental footprint and demonstrating our commitment to sustainability are key tasks.
What you'll be handling:
- Conduct comprehensive LCA studies and prepare detailed LCA reports
- Collect and analyse data related to various environmental factors
- Use LCA software tools such as Umberto (iPoint), SimaPro, GaBi or OpenLCA to model and analyse life cycle impacts.
- Integrate LCA results into the company's sustainability strategy
- Recognise opportunities to improve LCA processes and methods
- Independently develop and apply technical approaches to projects and assignments.
- Responding to customer enquiries
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainability, chemical engineering or a related field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in conducting life cycle analyses.
- Proficiency in LCA software Umberto (iPoint), SimaPro, GaBi or OpenLCA
- Strong analytical skills and excellent presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of LCA methods, ISO 14040/44 and ISO 14068 standards and environmental impact assessment.
- Problem solver with a view to the overall process and its implications
- Excellent communication skills at different levels of the organisation and with suppliers and customers
- Strong ability to evaluate process concepts and identify where continuous improvement opportunities exist

In this position, you can expect the following benefits, among others.
We offer an attractive salary in line with the market, depending on qualifications and professional experience. The minimum gross basic salary according to the collective agreement based on full-time employment is 52.198 EUR per year.
