Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Administrator will primarily be responsible for supporting the process of the company’s Bi-Weekly Payroll.  Other activities include supporting New Hires, Terminations, and Employees deductions.  This position is part time but as the company grows, will work into a full time position.

Tasks

  1. Process and administer Hourly/Salary payroll Bi-weekly using the current payroll software.
    • Balance of hours – tracking of accruals
      • STD, FMLA, WC
      • Maintain work schedule
    • Reports – hours, OT
  2. Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
  3. Tracking and calculation of deductions (pre-tax), garnishments
  4. Support the process of Bi-Weekly 401(K) contribution
    • Eligibility, Contribution Percentage, EE maintenance
  5. Research and resolve questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll
  6. Support in yearly audits
    • 401(K) and Corporate
  7. Employment Verifications
  8. Enroll and manage AAA program – including Concur Expense reports
  9. New Hires and Terminations of employees
  10. Support HR – reports, projects and events
  11. Maintain confidential employees files

Requirements

  1. 3-5 years Payroll experience
  2. AA degree required, BA preferred in related area
  3. Solid understanding of FLSA, DOL and other pertinent Payroll legislation
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Exceptional Excel and time management skills
  6. Pivot tables and filters
