Head of Software Product Development Logistics Software (M/F/D)*
As Head of Software Product Development, you play a key role in the strategic direction and further development of our software solutions. You are a hands-on leader who sets new standards with a passion for innovative technologies. As an excellent team player, you work across departments and promote a culture of collaboration. What you'll be handling:
- As Head of Software Product Development, you have overall responsibility for the strategic, operational, and technical development of the logistics software on our WERX product platform, which are used to control intralogistics systems installed worldwide.
- You lead and coach the development teams, comprising around 80 employees, in technical matters, as well as the team leaders (m/f/d) in disciplinary matters. You are responsible for resource planning and task allocation and promote an agile, collaborative work culture.
- You report to the Director of Software Development and work closely with the Software Engineering department on international customer projects and other international organizational units within TGW.
- Through organizational measures such as appropriate training, the correct alignment of team structures, and participation in software evaluation processes, you ensure effective and high-quality software development and are responsible for the further development of software architecture and standards, as well as ensuring the highest quality and security requirements.
- In addition, you are responsible for adhering to agreed project plans and budgets, as well as applicable standards, guidelines, and specifications, and documentation. You also monitor market trends and technologies in order to align software development with future requirements.
- You are responsible for annual budget planning for your cost center and monitor the cost center budget on an ongoing basis.
What you'll need:
- You have several years of management experience leading software development teams, ideally in an international environment, as well as strong social and communication skills, including across different cultures and company levels.
- You have a deep technical understanding of modern software architectures, cloud technologies, and agile methods, are a driver of innovation in technology and personnel development, and have experience in the implementation and development of software projects.
- Knowledge of material flow and warehouse management is an advantage.
- You are characterized by a high level of quality awareness, strategic thinking, and an independent and structured way of working.
- Willingness to travel internationally and business fluent German and English skills round off your profile.
