Teamwork, solidarity, advancement - and meeting every project with a smile: that is how Team Lead Controls Philipp Lebesmühlbacher describes his experience at his current work location in Teunz, Germany. The 34-year-old is completely dedicated to his team and to his new role as team leader.
This function is new this year; in it, I organise the projects assigned to me, coordinate the various tasks within the team and do the scheduling; this covers the whole process from the software itself, to on-site planning with the customers, to testing and acceptance. I enjoy working with people and sharing my knowledge. As team leader, I can do all of that more effectively and deliberately.
A pretty complex environment of different data which we are merging step by step. In order to implement such large projects for our customers, several departments have to work hand in hand. The magic word is "Operational Excellence", enabling us to meet future challenges in our market successfully.
In 2014, the TGW Logistics Group integrated the company Klug GmbH into the international TGW family in order to strengthen its software competencies. Even before that, I was already working at the Teunz location. The company building was in my neighborhood, and besides, I kept hearing about interesting projects and future-oriented technology, so I settled on TGW relatively quickly.
I began my training as an electrician for automation engineering in September 2004. After a short and sweet training period, I was off to China for my first project. During my time as Commissioning Engineer Controls, I was involved in many projects and learned a lot about the close interaction of the individual TGW components. As Software Developer Controls, I gained even more insights into software and processes. Now I've been Team Lead Controls since February 2021.
In many cases, my private and work life meld together. With all the on-site customer projects, it can be hard to distinguish when you really get home and your private life begins. As Team Lead, I want to be reachable for my team and for the customers even when I'm at home. At the same time, that's exactly what constitutes my job, and the constant communication is important to me. It spurs me on and motivates me. For me, the ideal counterpart to that is running. I also like to go hiking in nature and enjoy time spent outdoors.
I could never do my job without my colleagues. For me, that social environment is an important part of TGW. It's like one great big family where we all stick together. I particularly appreciate the open and honest way we interact. On top of that, I think it's great that my on-site work for customers often takes me to new places and introduces me to new people, cultures and perspectives.
The individual units will grow even closer and TGW will continue to implement great projects. In 30 years I can see myself still working for TGW and witnessing the challenges, motivation and joy of everyone involved every single day. I want to play my part in that.
For the Teunz location, I hope for expansion and a test center of its own. That would improve customer support and reduce the time spent on travel.
