Operational Flow Support Technician (M/F/D)*

The Operational Flow Support Technician acts as the key customer contact for technical support queries regarding the overall automated logistics solution and the Warehouse Control System (WCS).  Based at our customer site, this position must coordinate among the onsite maintenance team, the customer, and TGW’s support hotline team to ensure all requests are logged within the ticket system and incidents are resolved in a timely manner.

What you’ll be handling
 

  • Provide professional first-line software support for WCS systems, including capturing log files and database backups for further investigation.
  • Monitor trends and action plans to prevent issue escalation in WCS systems, hardware, and infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, customer contacts, and support colleagues, ensuring issues are followed through until resolution.
  • Escalate problems to the next support level when required and manage the problem until resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement by addressing ongoing technical issues, reducing call volumes, and maintaining site-specific documentation.
  • Support WCS releases and change requests, monitor hardware for upgrades, and deliver training to colleagues.
     

What you’ll need
 

  • High school diploma or GED required.  Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
  • Previous experience monitoring IT systems and providing application / database support preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) in material handling and automation environments.
  • Ability to deal directly with end users and translate technical issues into general terms.
  • Experience performing log file investigation and/or software debugging.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
