Previously, Puma used a decentralized DC network with separate local DCs for retail/wholesale and direct-to-consumer. With strong growth in all sales channels, it was becoming challenging to manage inventory levels and operational costs and maintain service levels.
The highly automated multi-channel DC enables Puma to dispatch up to 74 million items per year to its customers. On average, only 10 minutes pass between order placement and outbound. This is made possible by TGW's FlashPick® system, which, at Puma, consists of a shuttle warehouse with 700,000 storage locations and 27 ergonomic PickCenter One workstations.
Puma also selected TGW to support the facility through a 10-year Lifetime Services contract. As a result, they are able to concentrate on their core business operations, while 30 TGW onsite engineers work proactively on maintenance and continuous improvement of the system. This also gives Puma transparent and predictable costs for their automation systems.
Our global customers also include: Victoria’s Secret & Co., Fastenal, Skechers, Levi Strauss & Co., TVH, Zalando, and more.
