The roots of TGW reach back to 1969, when Ludwig Szinicz (1939-2017) took over a small metalworking shop in Wels, Austria. Along with his friend Heinz König (*1939), he spent the following years building the company into one of the world's leading intralogistics specialists.
In the core industries of Fashion & Apparel, Grocery and Industrial & Consumer Goods, TGW plans and implements highly automated, future-proof fulfilment centres around the world – and also takes care of service and maintenance during ongoing operation. TGW develops and produces all components itself, including everything from the software to the control system and robotics to the mechatronic modules.
