Controls SCADA Team Lead (M/F/D)*

The Controls SCADA Team Lead works with a team of SCADA Controls engineers to design and integrate controls systems Visualizations for industrial material-handling solutions and production lines. This position works closely with the other Controls Team Leads and reports to the Manager of Controls Commissioning.

What you’ll be handling

  •  Guides team of SCADA Controls Engineers and performs supervisory tasks including scheduling, review and approval of timecards, time-off requests, expense reports, and performance management activities (with support of manager)
  • Leads the design, development, and commissioning of control Visualization systems using PLCs to meet project requirements.
  • Writes and debugs HMI applications to ensure proper functioning of control systems.
  • Conducts in-house emulation testing to verify system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise prior to Controls Commissioning going onsite for commissioning.
  • Provides support for installed systems, performing preventative maintenance and implementing system upgrades as required.
  • Creates and maintains documentation of controls SCADA activities.

What you’ll need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Controls-related field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Five (5) or more years of hands-on Controls Engineering experience, preferably in material-handling, industrial, or warehouse environment.
  • Travel: Up to 20% travel, domestically and internationally.
  • Robust knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, with the ability to read edrawings and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Prior experience in formal or informal leadership roles.
