Chief Operations Officer (M/F/D)*

The Chief Operations Officer plans, directs, and oversees TGW's operational policies, rules, initiatives, and goals. Helps TGW to execute long-term and short-term plans and directives by implementing judgement, vision, management, and leadership. The COO provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational processes and controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place (selection / development) to effectively grow the organization while maintaining quality and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

What you’ll be handling

  • Ensure employees acting according to our values
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass calculated project margins, cash flow, business goals and objectives, timelines and the agreed technical parameters.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support offer, design and contract reviews and to develop and execute a clear handover process between the departments.
  • Provide a diligent risk assessment for each project (before contract signature) based on maturity-level of the (realization) team, the offered solution and the acceptance criteria’s (technical and commercial).
  • Motivate and lead a high-performance operations team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the team not currently in place, provide mentoring and coaching as a cornerstone to the management career development program.

What you’ll need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline. Strong technical background.
  • Experience: 5+ years’ in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning in the project business. 8+ years’ experience in (intralogistics) project realization dealing with mechanical and electrical engineering plus software implementation.
  • Travel: 30% as required
  • Flexible and able to multitask, can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions, demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
  • Possess qualities in line with TGW values
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
