Manager - Java Full Stack (M/F/D)*

We are looking for a Manager – Java Full Stack with 10–15 years of experience to join our Global Software Engineering & Technology team in Pune, India.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software components for TGW's global warehouse automation solutions. In addition to driving technical excellence, you will lead a team of software engineers, provide technical direction, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications.

What you'll be handling:

Technical Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Develop responsive frontend applications using Angular (preferred) or React.
  • Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, Architects, and cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.


Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Full Stack Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Drive technical decision-making, solution design, and engineering best practices across the team.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.
  • Plan and allocate work, monitor team capacity, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Work closely with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to prioritize deliverables and manage project execution.
  • Support hiring activities, including technical interviews, onboarding, and team development.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Promote Agile methodologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

What you'll need:

Required Skills

  • 10–15 years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Angular (preferred) or React, along with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases; exposure to NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Clean Code principles, and Unit Testing.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
  • Proven experience leading software engineering teams and delivering complex enterprise applications.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or MQTT.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of warehouse automation, industrial software, or logistics domain is an added advantage.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
