Resident Automation Cleanliness Technician (M/F/D)*
The Automation Technical Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, condition, and operational readiness of automated material handling equipment within the facility. This role plays a critical part in supporting equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring a safe working environment. Working closely with the engineering and maintenance teams, the Technical Cleaner helps preserve the integrity of system components, proactively identifies potential issues, and contributes to overall site performance and safety standards. This position operates within a highly automated warehouse environment and requires a strong understanding of safety practices, including working at height and around energized equipment.
What you’ll be handling
- Equipment & System Cleaning: Clean and maintain automated equipment including conveyors, sortation systems, palletizing machines, sensors, and surrounding infrastructure
- Maintenance Area: Help maintain cleanliness of workshops, workstations, and maintenance areas
- Tools & Equipment Use: Safely operate cleaning equipment such as industrial vacuums, and other provided tools
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all site safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and working at height procedures
- Inspection & Issue Identification: Identify and report early signs of wear, damage, or potential system issues to engineering teams
- Administrative & Team Support Complete required documentation and task tracking related to cleaning activities
What you'll need
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or automated environments preferred.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards.
- Basic understanding of industrial or automated systems (preferred but not required).
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
