Cost Enineer (M/F/D)*
Do you have hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and enjoy bridging the gap between engineering and business? Then you’re in the right place.
As a Cost Engineer, you will support the cost-optimized design of products. You will analyze manufacturing costs, evaluate technical solutions from a commercial perspective, and identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the value chain. Working closely with Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers, you will create transparency around cost structures and play a key role in sustainably strengthening TGW’s competitiveness.

What you'll be handling:
- You actively contribute to the further development and expansion of Cost Engineering at TGW.
- You analyze and validate supplier prices and cost structures using cost breakdowns and cost models.
- You identify cost-saving opportunities for components and assemblies.You support Purchasing in supplier discussions and negotiations with well-founded cost analyses.
- You become involved in development projects at an early stage and support our engineering teams in designing technical solutions that are both cost-optimized and manufacturing-friendly.
- You continuously develop and enhance cost models, cost breakdown structures, and knowledge databases.
- You actively drive cross-functional cost reduction initiatives, making a significant contribution to strengthening TGW’s competitiveness.
What you'll need:
- Completed technical education (apprenticeship, master craftsman qualification, technical college, university of applied sciences, or university degree).
- Several years of professional experience in a manufacturing industry environment.In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods.
- Strong technical understanding combined with a keen interest in commercial and economic aspects.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills.High level of initiative, with a structured and independent way of working.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel internationally approximately 10-20% of the time
