Purchasing Assistant (32 hrs) (M/F/D)*
As a Purchasing Assistant (32 hrs), you’ll play a vital role in our small but dedicated team within the TGW Customer Unit North Europe. Working in an international, people-minded company, you’ll make sure that Purchase Orders for both external and internal partners are executed accurately and on time.
You’ll support our Purchasing Agents with a variety of operational tasks across Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, and Category Management, giving you the chance to gain hands-on experience across the full procurement process.
By ensuring strict adherence to procurement processes and delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders, you’ll help secure the goods and services that keep our core business operations running smoothly. Your contribution will also strengthen the strategic impact of our Purchasing Agents and add value across the TGW Customer Unit North Europe.
What you'll be handling:
- You create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and you review and process order confirmations from suppliers, checking delivery dates and terms
- You conduct financial assessments of new suppliers to ensure reliability and compliance, and you assist with the onboarding of new suppliers by guiding them through internal procedures and documentation
- You maintain and update supplier data within the SHE Assure system in line with compliance standards, and you manage and verify the accuracy and compliance of supplier documentation
- You set up vendor accounts and perform necessary compliance checks in accordance with company policies
- You prepare and coordinate Request for Quotations (RFQs) and support supplier evaluations
- You act as a key contact between Purchasing, Realisation, and Lifetime Services teams to support daily operations
- You support incident tracking and resolution related to supplier performance or deliveries
- You provide day-to-day administrative support to the Purchasing team, including reporting, scheduling, and document management
What you'll need:
- You have the ability to manage purchase orders, maintain accurate records, and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- You are proficient in using ERP Systems (Navision, SAP) and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
- You are familiar with basic purchasing principles and supply chain operations
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch
- You are able to interact professionally and effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- You are solution-focused and grounded in practical execution
