Resident Automation Technician (M/F/D)*
The Resident Automation Technician supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset and a proactive approach to improve the site’s performance through trouble-shooting and hands-on repair. Based at our customer sites, the Resident Automation Technician I must represent the TGW image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.
This position is based out at one of our customer sites.
What you’ll be handling
Resolve customer equipment and solution issues as quickly and practically as possible.
Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
Complete maintenance activities of the automated equipment on site including, conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks and carton opening system.
Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.
Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory, as applicable.
What you’ll need
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
Previous experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, or related environments, preferred.
Thorough attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics preferred.
