Site Engineering Manager (M/F/D)*
As the Site Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the customer site, managing the day-to-day relationship with the customer's on-site management team and delivering the relevant contractual requirements.
You will lead and develop the Resident Engineering team to ensure smooth operational performance and provide internal and external incident escalation. You will also measure and report on contractual performance to internal and external stakeholders and identify and develop commercial opportunities for growth.
What you'll be handling:
- Work with the Key Account Manager to deliver the forecasted budget
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and safe working procedures at all times
- Use internal networks across Lifetime Services and the wider business to support the site and other colleagues in overall business performance and success
- Complete monthly contract reporting, meeting with the customer and highlighting successes and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Audit of all processes, both site-based and business-wide, to ensure compliance
- Manage site resources to ensure contract performance
- Plan and deliver strategic objectives for the life of the contract (Preventive Maintenance plans, maintenance strategy, improvements and refurbishment plans)
- Ensure weekly internal Key Performance Indicators are met
- Manage spare parts inventory for the site, ensuring stockholdings meet contractual requirements
- Management of TGW reporting tools such as DART and CMMS, ensuring site teams are using them effectively
- Ensure that all elements of contract delivery are measurable to ensure forward contract budgeting
- Conduct regular 121s and annual Personal Development Interviews to support team development and performance
- Follow TGW processes relating to performance development to support team performance analysis so that excellent performance is recognised and under-performance is correctly managed
- Identify and support improvements in installation and products, feeding back to ensure we continually improve our customer delivery
- Analyse near-miss and hazard reports, shift reports, maintenance tasks, spare parts usage reports, and toploss reports to measure compliance against internal processes
What you'll need:
Required
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds in an engineering discipline
- Experience in managing a team within a high-risk automation/engineering environment
- Proven experience in delivering service contracts or managing internal customers to ensure good operational performance
- Skilled in developing extensive cross-functional relationships to support business performance
Preferred
- ONC/HNC or Full B–Tech in an engineering discipline
- IOSH/NEBOSH Qualification or equivalent in Health and Safety
- Experience in Intralogistics
