Commissioning Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a commissioning Engineer to join our team based in Kaunas, Lithuania. The Commissioning Engineer is a key member of the TGW Northern Europe’s Controls Team and is vital in the successful delivery of our projects. Responsible for the software creation, emulation, and commissioning of Level 2 PLC control systems (commissioning & system testing) for our automated materials handling solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

Within this role you will be responsible for:

Communicating with the Commissioning Lead Engineers and Project Manager Controls
Undertake the development of project software using the TGW standard tools and architecture ensuring correct version control used in conjunction with Project Manager Controls
In-house software testing through emulation of all PLC systems.
Play an active role in the design of the control systems when required.
Implementation of project area softwarUndertake full level 2 PLC commissioning.
Ensure full integration of the system to deliver a final working plan is achieved.
Make sure all required commissioning documentation is completed to the required standard through the delivery of the project
Be an ambassador for the delivery of TGW controls and actively promote company standards and best practice
Travel in accordance to the 10-4 shift pattern.

What you'll need

To be successful in your application, you will:

Minimum NVQ level 3 / City & Guilds in electrical engineering
Previous experience of commissioning and testing in an engineering / industrial environment
Ability to create project PLC code ideally in the Siemens S7 environment
Travel regularly
Work as part of a team
