Can you keep it cool as a Maintenance Engineer? We are looking for 2 Maintenance Engineers to join our new, small team at the site of our customer Upfresh in Oostende, Belgium. As a Maintenance Engineer employed by TGW you will contribute to our maintenance team of TGW and work close together with the Upfresh team. Upfresh is the wholesaler for fresh food. From bread to tapas and from cheese and salads to meat, Upfresh has it all. In their chilled warehouse, they are expanding with TGW systems. WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

  • You will execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and support the automation to operate at its maximum efficiency.
  • You are responsible for detecting, solving and preventing all electrical, mechanical and software faults on all systems of TGW while ensuring high levels of housekeeping, and never compromise on safety.
  • You will suggest any continuous improvement activities that will increase the reliability of TGW and third-party assets on site.
  • You will be resolving complex breakdown situations and actively seek root cause when remedying any breakdowns on TGW-supplied equipment and software.
  • You will complete all necessary reports, including those for shift maintenance tasks, spare parts usage, and toploss, while working in DART and CMMS software platforms.
  • You will be attending customer meetings, providing any updates on the automation.
  • You will be coaching and mentoring of Apprentices and Technicians.
  • You will work in 2 shifts
Early shift from 06:00 - 14:00 Late shift from 14:00 - 22:00

What you'll need

  • You have at least an engineering qualification and minimum BA4/BA5 education with general knowledge of mechanics, electrical and control.
  • You have an electrical engineering qualification.
  • You have good problem-solving skills and are skilled in reading electrical drawings.  
  • You have experience using and/or implementing relevant software tools, such as Siemens TIA portal, Canbus and Profinet.
  • You have excellent communication skills and able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • You are able to work in a time-critical environment.
  • You are proactive, flexible and customer focused.
  • You are able to work in a chilled warehouse (+4 degrees).
