Resident Engineering Team Leader

(M/F/D)*

As the Resident Engineering Team Leader you will lead a team of Engineers/Technicians and be the primary point of contact to the customer concerning the day-to-day operations on site. You will also lead all continuous improvement activities that underpin site performance and support the delivery of the Maintenance strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

  • Accountability and ownership to deliver the contracted KPI’s
  • Leadership of a team of Resident Engineers, Technicians and trainees
  • Co-ordinate all maintenance activities, planned repairs and reactive repairs of the automated equipment on site
  • Maintenance activities of the TGW and third party products installed on site.
  • Support the automation to operate at its maximum efficiency ensuring that the customers’ orders are not missed
  • Complete all necessary reports, inclusive of Near miss and hazard reporting, shift, Maintenance tasks, Spare parts usage and toploss, whilst working in DART, CMMS, .SAV Assure and Teams software platforms.
  • Attend daily customer meetings providing any updates on the automation
  • Cover the Site Engineering Manager during holiday and sickness periods.
  • Manage escalations onsite in line with TGW’s Escalation procedure
  • Ticket Management for Helpdesk support.
  • Drive ALL continuous improvement activities on site
  • Be operationally minded with all decisions
  • Drive Health and Safety onsite
  • Comply to all current, future health and safety legislation at all times

What you'll need

Essential
  • Minimum NVQ level 3/BTEC HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience leading a leading team
  • Strong Electrical/Mechanical background
  • Working knowledge of Siemens S7, Profibus, Canbus, Profinet and ASI Bus
  • Proficient communication skills and customer focused
  • Ability to work in a time critical environment
  Desirable
  • Previous experience working within Materials Handling Equipment
