Simulation Consultant (M/F/D)*

The Simulation Consultant is responsible for validating and optimizing automated warehousing solutions using pre-developed simulation models. As part of the Solutions Design team, this role evaluates proposed system designs by conducting simulation experiments, performing sensitivity analyses, and testing various operational scenarios. The Simulation Consultant uses data-driven insights to assess system performance against throughput and service-level targets, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and minimize equipment requirements 
to improve competitiveness and the ROI of the design.

What you’ll be handling

  •  Execute simulation experiments using established TGW simulation models.
  • Validate proposed solution designs against performance and operational requirements.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses to evaluate system performance under varying demand profiles and operational scenarios. 
  • Identify bottlenecks, operational risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Evaluate alternative strategies to improve system efficiency and performance.
  • Challenge design assumptions and provide recommendations to reduce cost, improve competitiveness and the ROI of the design.

     

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in warehouse operations, warehouse automation, supply chain engineering, or solutions design.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse automation systems
