engelbert strauss is the leading manufacturer of high-quality workwear and protective workwear. In the Hessian town of Schlüchtern, engelbert strauss is currently building a state-of-the-art production site, including a powerful logistics hub called the CI-Factory. TGW was commissioned with the realization of a highly automated intralogistics systems for the hub, thanks to which the German garment manufacturer will be able to triple its shipping capacity. At the core of this system is TGW FlashPick® and its high level of automation. This modular system even allows for an easy integration of pick robots.

TGW is building a huge warehousing and order picking system for the Decathlon Group in Rouvignies, France. The contract between TGW and the French sporting goods retail specialist was signed in the summer of 2016. The plant is scheduled to go live in 2019.
TGW employs 3,200 people all over the world, 1,600 are working in Upper Austria. The huge success of the last years and the involved growth caused shortage of space in Wels, the former headquarters. Therefore, the construction works for the new headquarters in Marchtrenk, the TGW Evolution Park, started in November 2016. At the beginning of June 2018, the innovative working space for 700 employees opened its gates. The Austrian specialist for warehouse automation and material handling solutions invested 55 million in the state-of-the-art headquarters with activity-based working concept.
Interdiscount is the market leader for home electronics in Switzerland. The retailing expert, who is looking to substantially develop online business, is in the course of expanding its non-food range on Microspot.ch to 260,000 different products. To prepare Interdiscount’s intralogistics for these new challenges, TGW has built a fully automated distribution center at the company’s headquarters in Jegenstorf, Switzerland. After two and a half years of construction time, the grand opening ceremony for the new state-of-the art hub was held at the end of May 2018.
